Sophus Ulrik Nyboe 1865 – 1945

Hello Niels,
Thank you for contacting us!  Attached is the information that we have on Sophus Nyboe.  He was a resident of the Danish Home for the Aged in Metuchen (now Edison), New Jersey from 1932 until his death in 1945.  His ashes are in the Mindehoyen on the property of the Danish Home for the Aged.  There are some pictures of the home and Mindehoyen on this page: http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~njdane/PerthAmboy.html

Circa 2000, the Danish Home for the Aged was closed as an old age home.  It was turned into an archives and museum and is the current home of DANE (Danish Archive North East).

I hope that this information is useful.  If we can provide any further information, then please let us know.
Again, thank you for contacting us!
Wendy
