Robert Arzy Burdick, age 75, Payson, passed away Wednesday, April 23, 2003 at his home after courageously enduring many health problems.

He was born Feb 7, 1928 in Payson, UT to Quince M. and Nettie McDonald Burdick. He married Ardella Nybo, Jan 18, 1946. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

He served in the Pacific Theatre on an ammunition ship during World War II. He was a member of the American Legion, Payson Post #48. He was known for his generosity and hard work. His greatest joy was his family. He worked at Burdick Lumber; later at the age of 32, pursuing his dreams, designing and building five motels and a restaurant. He was a very successful businessman and a loving father and friend. He will be greatly missed. He leaves a legacy of hard work and responsibility.

Survivors include his wife, Ardella, Payson; children, Barbara (David) Argyle, Brent (Cindy) Burdick, Gloria (J. Randall) Staples; he leaves behind 13 grandchildren and 18 great-grand-children. He was preceded in death by his parents, granddaughter, Tracy Ann Burdick, and brothers, Michael, Donald M. Burdick.

Services will be Monday, April 28, 2003, 1 p.m. Payson LDS 1st Ward Chapel, 225 S. 400 E. Friends may call at the Walker Mortuary, 587 S. 100 W, Payson, Sun. 6-8 p.m. or at the church Mon. 11:45 a.m.-12:45 p.m. Burial, Payson City Cemetery. Military rites accorded by the American Legion, Dist. #4.
