Carl Nybo Funeral services for Carl Mikkel Knudsen Nybo were held Monday, December 27 in the Salem Ward Chapel with BishopRoy Miller officianting. Jan Thorpe played preludeand postlude music. Owen Warren offered the invocation. Speakers were A. F. Christensen and Merrill Koyle with remarks by Bishop Roy Miller. The Relief Society chorus directed by Sarah Hanks and accompanied by Jan Thorpe sang "I Need Thee Every Hour and Invocation". Harry Hardman sang a vocal solo I Stand All Amazed. Glen Cloward gave the closing prayer. The family prayer was given By Ronald Nybo and Merrill Wood offered the dedicatory prayer. Pallbeares were: F. O. Thomson, Harvey Adams, Ernest Hanks, Joseph Jensen, Ervin Nelson, John Koyle. Buriel was under direction of Walker Mortuary. -------------------------------------------------------------
Salem Man Dies in Hospital SALEM - Carl K. Nybo, 65 Salem, died Tuesday in the Payson Cicy Hospital, ap- perntly of a heart attack. He was born May 3, 1906, in Spanish Fork, a son af Mikkel K. and Ingar Olsen Nybo. He married Anna Wood on Jan. 10, 1935 in the Salt Lake Temple. He was educated in Spanish Fork schools and attended Brigham Young Uneversity. He worked in the mines in Nevada and Oregon and was employed in the construction af Geneva Steel. For the past 30 years he was employed by U.S.Steel. Active in the LDS Church, Mr. Nybo was secretary of the Elders Quorum, president of Palmyra Stake Seventy Quorum, first counselor in the Salem Ward Bischpric for seven years, superintendent of the YMMIA, chairman of the genealogy commettee and an' ardent temple worker. He was also a member af the Steelworkers Union, charter member of the Salem Lions Club and charter member of the Salem Fire Department. Survivors include his widow, Salem; three sons and two daughters, Ronald Carl Nybo, Kaysville; Mrs. June ( Loretta ) Brown, Bountiful; Conrad LaMar Nybo, Siera Vista Ariz.; Cheryl Ann Nybo, and Rodney Dean Nybo, both of Salem; eight grandchildren; one brother and two sisters, Conrad L, Nyboe, Salem; Mrs. Margeret Jensen, Salt Lake City; Mrs, Paul ( Annie ) Wison, Long Beach, Calif. Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. in the Salem Ward Chapel with Bishop Roy Miller offociating. Friends may call at the Walker Mortuary in Spanish Fork Sundaybfrom 6:3o to 8 p.m. and Monday in the ward Relief Spciaty Room prior to services. Burial will be in the Spanish Fork City Cemetory.
