Wood is in!
Being in business 21 years in the same spot is unusual these days, but Esther Jensen of Jenwood Woodcarvings on the south mall of Park Royal has done it.
Arthur Jensen, Esther's husband was a woodcarving artist, and that's really how the whole thing started.
"We pride ourselves on having everything in our shop," Mrs. Jensen said, "everything made of wood."
There's carved Canadian cedar, Danish imported carvings in Danish woods, a large selection of trays of all kinds, a gorgeous salad bowl on a legged stand, all kinds of unusual art items ,of wood
Now that "natural" is in a woodcarving shop is of course big business, but she was there and successful long before it was the "thing to do."
