Shawn Nybo, 48, of Salem, Utah unexpectedly passed away Wednesday, August 14, 2013 from a heart condition. Shawn was born September 24, 1964, a son of Dean Strong and Mavis Stromberg Nybo. A graduate of Spanish Fork High School, Shawn also attended and graduated from Brigham Young University and Weber State University.
On August 29, 2007, he married Andra Neilson Hogan in the Provo Temple and became a loving step father to Lexi Hogan and Parker Hogan. Shawn was an active member of the LDS Church and served a mission to California, Fresno and was also a temple worker in the Provo Temple.
Shawn was loved and will be missed by many family members and friends. He was kind and good to all who knew him. Survived by his wife, stepchildren, parents and brothers, Alan (Joy) Nybo, Brett Nybo, Kyle (Mildred) Nybo, Kurt (Paula) Nybo, and his sister, Shelley (Michael) Grohmann.
Funeral services held Monday, August 19, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Salem Apple Blossom Chapel, 25 W. Apple Blossom Way, Salem, Utah. Family and friends may gather Sunday evening, August 18, 2013 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Walker Funeral Home, 187 S. Main Street, Spanish Fork and on Monday morning at the church from 9:45-10:45 prior to services. Interment will be in the Salem City Cemetery.
