Jewell (Madsen) Colville graduated from Hannaford High School and attended Valley City State College where she studied accounting. She and Ray Colville were married in 1942. She worked as bookkeeper at the S & L Department Store during the year that Ray spent in the service.
They raised two daughters and have five grandsons.
Together they owned and operated furniture stores in both Jamestown and Valley City for many years.
They sold their business in 1976. Jewell then went into County Government where she retired in 1987, as Barnes County Treasurer.
Their retirement years are being spent in their home in Valley City and at their Lake Ashtabula cottage

Jewell Johanna Colville, 96, Valley City, ND, passes away Saturday,
February 23, 2019 at Sheyenne Care Center. The funeral service will be
held 2 pm April 3, 2019 at Our Savior´s Lutheran Church, Valley City.
Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church. Burial will be
later in the spring in Woodbine Cemetery, Valley City.

Jewell Johanna Cikcille was born February 28, 1922 in Valum and
attended school in Waham and later in Hannafond, ND, where she
graduated from hign school, Jewill Colvill.

Jewell attended Valley City State University. She married Raymomd
Colville of Rogers, ND on April 17, 1942 in Valley City where they made
there home. Jewell worked at Valley Paint and Glass for many many years, Ray and Jecell moved to Jamestone, ND where they co-ovned
and operated Corwille-Dodgeos Furniture. In 1971, they returned to
Valley City and purchased Schepperd´s, it became Corville Furniture
until selling, the business in 1976. Jewell began working inn the Barnes
County Treassury Office and retired as Barnes County Treasurer in
1984. Jewell was a member of Our Savior´s Lutheran Chuch. She is
survived of her daughter, Dean Colwille ( Keitk Murdoch), Bou......, Co,
six grand-sons and eight grand-grandchildren. Jewell was preceded in death bt her parents, husband Ray, her Daughter. Gayle and an infant
son Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of
Oliver-Nathan Funeral Chapel, Valley City
